About

hko.solutions

hko.solutions is a digital-only consulting agency with a focus on modern cloud technologies and industrial automation. hko.solutions was founded in 2019 and is a digital-only agency: We do not have a physical office and work as a remote team of individual freelancers. Through this network, we have access to software developers, UI/UX designers and industrial automation specialists.

Our business philosophy is simple: Deliver the best possible technical solution for a given business objective.

We will not fuss around, sell you anything you don’t need or over-engineer your project. We are most happy when a project is successfully delivered and will move as fast as possible during development, giving and receiving feedback early and making sure the business goals are always in focus.

Founding Partner

IT Specialist for Cloud Infrastructure, IoT & Industrial Automation, C/C++ and Qt

During my career I have seen both sides of the fence, holding technical and managerial roles within the domains of Industrial Automation, Robotics, Embedded Systems and Developer Tooling. Lately I have been focusing on safe, efficient, cost-effective and vendor independent cloud infrastructure on modern platforms (e.g. Kubernetes) and the integration of IoT & industrial automation with these cloud services.

I have

  • 5 years experience managing IT projects in managerial roles and as a freelancer
  • 3 years experience with modern cloud infrastructure
  • 10+ years of experience developing applications in C/C++, both low level embedded systems and high level cross-platform applications

Past Projects & Achievements

CAMOZZI Automation

CAMOZZI Automation is a major industrial automation company based in Italy with over 2.000 employees worldwide. Working together with CAMOZZI, I developed a cross-platform configuration software for industrial load-balancing robots. The desktop application was developed in C++ with the Qt5 Framework, while the implementation of the communication protocol on the embedded system was done in low level C code.

Silexica / Xilinx: SLX.cloud

Silexica (now owned by Xilinx) developed C/C++ programming and analysis tools with a focus of software optimization for multicore and FPGA platforms. While working at Silexica, I managed the development team of their cloud platform SLX.cloud (an online IDE for C/C++ based on Eclipse Che). The technologies used were Docker Swarm and later Kubernetes running on AWS and Azure Cloud for Orchestration, and Ansible and Terraform for Infrastructure Management.
